Happy Boxing Day

To all our faithful blog readers I hope your Christmas celebration were just as you had hoped for. Although there was some nasty winter weather in many areas of the USA and Canada I hope you were not affected by the snowy and blustery conditions accompanied with a deep frost. As per the news the worst is over and people are slowly digging out of their houses and clearing snow drifts from their driveways and cars.

Back home things seem to be not too bad, but of course I don't know how in what condition the roads are. Hopefully most folks were able to stay at home and the ones that had to go out I hope they were careful and took their time.

Look at the nice snowdrifts in our backyard

Benno and I enjoyed the Christmas Day in our RV. The dogs got their walks but otherwise things were very quiet here in our RV Park. We managed to talk to our families and so knew that everyone had a good Christmas.

The turkey breast I had purchased cooked in our small electric turbo/oven/toaster for about two hours and turned out perfect. Dinner was delicious and our dessert was a big plate of German type Lebkuchen goodies that are a tradition and from which we nibble every so often.

Hoping everyone had a good time and is looking forward to celebrating the end of this year next week.

Thanks for dropping in again.

  2. Looks pretty back home, not that you'd want to be there though. Your plates looks delicious, is that a beautiful potato pancake? Your dessert treats also look wonderful. Our stocking stuffers contained Ghirardelli dark chocolate peppermint bark - to die for! Pick some up if you see it, very subtle.

    1. Yep, we are happy to just look at the snow and not experience it. Yes, those were roesties potatoes. Thanks for the tip I will keep looking, haven't found them yet.
