A bit about Najade

Najade is a 37’ Goderich cutter rigged sailboat. Ted Brewer of Canadian fame designed her.  The actual metal work in welding this round chine sailboat was done in 1980 at Huromic Metal in Goderich, Ontario, Canada. We then took over the finishing ourselves with the help of a Danish ships carpenter who did a great job manufacturing a white oak interior of our design and the company Metro Marine, which did the exterior paint job.  The whole project took two years and we had her ready in 1982 when we moved onboard together with our teenage son.

  1. You definitely did it your way making certain that Najade fit your needs. You are both Explorers Extraordinaire having lived on the high seas and now on the ground.

    It's about time.

    1. It all started with our proper immigration to Canada and the lure of the distant horizon.
